MyKitchen
A kitchen companion that tracks what you have, suggests what to cook, and tells you what to buy.

I would go grocery shopping and be completely lost. My lists were scattered everywhere - notes apps, WhatsApp messages to friends, random reminders - and nothing was actually working. And then even when I did buy groceries, I'd open the fridge and just stare at it. A full fridge and I'd still end up making pasta or instant noodles because figuring out what to actually cook felt like too much.
I tried asking ChatGPT for recipe suggestions based on what I had but the results were always too random, sometimes too complicated, never really felt like it knew my kitchen. I wanted something that put all of it together in one place and actually felt personal.
How It Was Built
Built with Claude Code, Supabase, and Vercel. Fully AI-assisted, same as all my projects.
What Was Built
MyKitchen lets you log what's in your kitchen, get recipe suggestions based on exactly those ingredients, and build a shopping list for what you're missing. It's basically the thing I wanted to exist and couldn't find - so I built it.
The Hard Part
Getting the suggestions to not feel generic. That was the whole point of building it in the first place - ChatGPT already exists, so if MyKitchen was going to be worth using it had to feel more calibrated than that. Getting that right took a lot of back and forth.
Status
Live and free to use. I use it myself for my own groceries.
